SAE is international organization for advancing mobility on land, sea, air and the space. The Chapter was formed by students from all branches of Engineering. The main aim of the chapter is to enhance the knowledge of students through various activities related to Automotive.

The chapter was established in year 2000. For academic year 2011-12 SAE Collegiate chapter involves 54 students member from Post graduate and Undergraduate Courses. The Counseling body is formed of the students. The Vice president is the head of the Department, with staff Advisor of SAE, while dynamic and energetic students are selected for post of Secretary (from B.E), Treasurer (from T.E ), and Event Manager (from T.E.) by interviewing them. The Executive members (one from each division) and Ladies executive member (one) are selected by interviewing the students.
