Entrepreneurship Development Program Cell (EDP Cell) Information

  The EDP Cell at Sanjivani has been established in 2018-19 to motivate and inculcate the entrepreneurship skills amongst the students. The main aim of this cell is “To produce entrepreneurs with higher leadership qualities using innovations and technological advances. Students should able to solve Industry, social and society problems to make the life of common man simple and easy. The main intension is our students should be job provider, which will help in some extent to reduce the unemployment problem of the nation. This could be achieved through continuous mentoring, creating awareness, regular training on self-employment and attitude development. Sanjivani EDP Cell is working on the same line to create first generation entrepreneurs.
To create awareness among the students on various facets of entrepreneurship is also a key functioning of this cell. Students should opt entrepreneurship as an alternative career choice. To achieve this, EDP Cell continuously organizes the expert sessions and mentoring programs from industry persons, successful alumni, leading entrepreneurs and startup founders to make their path easy. Now, gradually we are getting the results of these efforts and we are sure that in future our most of the students will be successful entrepreneurs.

 Goals and Objectives of EDP Cell:

1. To create awareness on current entrepreneurship opportunities.
2. Let student recognize entrepreneurship as an alternative career option.
3. Student should start carrier as an entrepreneur and should become a job provider.
4. Create ownership and develop entrepreneurship attitude / mindset of the students.
5. Inculcate the entrepreneurship culture in the institute.
6. Identify the students who are willing to take risk and ready to start own business.
7. Connect with industry expert team to promote and support good ideas & Innovations.

 Roles & Responsibilities of EDP Cell:

1. Identify keenly interested student for EDP activities and want to become entrepreneur.
2. To act as an institutional mechanism for providing various facilities and services to needy students.
3. To convert viable ideas and innovations into marketable products or enterprise.
4. To promote entrepreneurial activities initiated by IIC, i-2-e by SPPU, Avishkar, Startup India, MSME, YUKTI, Maker Mela & reputed institutions of India.
5. To participate in state & national level competitions related to EDP & startups.
6. To arrange interaction with successful entrepreneurs, various professionals, potential customers to provide mentorship for student innovators.
7. Implement Sanjivani Startup policy effictively to help the students and faculty for innovations.
